This was known as the "golden age" of Chinese achievement.
Many cities were formed and many people started moving to the cities. This brought new opportunities and jobs to the cities of China.

Gunpowder was a huge innovation in China that brought them a lot of money.
On the other hand, China also invented feet binding which led to the "domestication" of women. They were meant to keep women in the house. The smaller the feet, the more beautiful the woman.
